Leslie,it is very hard to find where to purchase your mentoring website.I would like to get one to help my referrals.I think you should update your information,it's very frustrating being sent to the same link that you are still maintaining the website,but I notice that post was in 2008 ? Is there still an option to get my own mentoring website with my own domain name and my own website without your information on the mentoring website?

It's free in that you aren't paying me for the Website. I provide that free of charge. If you want to have a website online, you have to pay for hosting. All I'm saying is that if you use my link for that, I will give you the site for free. All the best!

Is it too late to get in on this?? I've been doing freebie sites for 2 1/2 years now but never took the time to build a website. This sounds like a great idea. It's actually on hold (temporarily). I'm working on a new version that should be out soon and will be MUCH MUCH better. I will be posting an announcement soon.

My free mentoring site has been up for a few weeks now. It is really great--and very easy for me, of course. My only complaint has been the recommendation of FLR. I like the changes at Calistyle101, so I'm looking forward to seeing the mentoring site changed to pull more people into that forum instead. I've done more trading on A4F, so I would like to see a mention of them also. Thanks, Leslie for all you're doing.

I noticed alot of the website was centered around FLR which I am a member of but do all my trading on a4f. can the site be customized to reflect a4f not flr and is macrobucks required at the top I would much rather have ourloot2boot or innovusnet. Thanks

As of right now, the entire Mentoring Website concept is being redone. So I'm not taking any new ones on as yet. However, the new changes will be more centered around my new forum at www.CaliStyle101.com.

I just purchased a domain name with go daddy and I was wondering, can I host this domain name with the Lunarpages hosting account for my mentoring site?

Hi Boosielou, yes you can definitely do that. When you go to purchase hosting, you should choose the "I already have a domain name" option. Then everything else will be the same. You also need to change the nameservers in Godaddy. You should receive instructions on how to do that when you sign up :)

Hey Leslie- You are a smart entrepreneur and I respect your mind. I am looking into getting a site through you and I have a question. I know initially that I must sign up through lunar pages, but what if I want to use a different host after the first year, is that an option? Also, what if I want to start a membership based site later on, is all the content on my site free for me to use when I upgrade my site later? Thank you for all of your help and effort in teaching the tricks to this industry.

1. Yes you can use a different host after the first year.

Hi Kelley, if you are talking about freebie trading forums, yes there are others. Anything4Free, Calistyle, Freebie Exchange, Net Income Solutions. My recommendation would be to use multiple sources.

Not sure why that happened. It can be that your spam filters are blocking it. I would check your Spam box to see if it's there. If not, then try a different email address and let me know if that doesn't work.

Leslie, This looks very cool and am probably going to go ahead and do this. I am very concerned right now though with the changes that FLR is going through right now. I am a new Method 2 trader with a sticky coming up next week. I've had my thread up now for about a month and have not even had a nibble.
I have a domain name and hosting through Go Daddy but it seems your saying this won't do me any good with this, correct?
To get started with you then, do I need to go to LunarPages first and sign up for hosting? Or do I just submit my name and eMail address to you under the 'Give me my site' for instructions to continue?

Hi Gary, thanks for you interest in the site. I can understand your concerns about the changes at FLR. They are valid concerns and we all look forward to seeing things pick up again. In terms of the GoDaddy hosting, if you absolutely want to stick with that one, you can purchase the site outright for $80. However, it's probably a better investment to just go ahead and do lunarpages. Either way, just let me know. And either way, you still need to put your name and email address in the form.

Yes, that's correct. I'm working on updating all the content right now and will be relaunching the entire mentoring site concept. That info should be changed soon.

Hey Haroon, thanks for your interest. You can put your referral link on your contact page. Or if you want to put A4F on the getting started page, we can do that too. The only thing is that your getting started page wouldn't be on my system and get automatic updates with the content I add later on. But if you are doing A4F, that is the better way to go. Just specify that when you are sending me the info.

I have been contemplating starting my own site for awhile now. I was a member of GDI for awhile and was going to use their hosting to create a site but it didn't work out like I wanted it. This seems like a good value and idea and I will look more into it. Thanks.

Also, if you already have a lunarpages account (or other hosting that you want to use), you can pay $80 to purchase the site, and I would set it up for you. Leslie, I am seriously considering getting my own website thru VistaPrint, with my business card logo as page 1. Do you do work on personal sites as a freelance Web Guy? If so, would you tell me how you would compute charges, i.e., hourly, pages, Mb, Gb. etc.

Hi Ben, that's unfortunately not a service I provide. I'm sure you can find someone at a site like elance, scriptlance or getafreelancer. Glad you like my stuff. For right now my focus is to make it 100 times better, so I can't really take on other side projects.

Leslie: You said that your had worked out an arrangement with Hostgator but I didn't see a link to their site.

I Googled to their site and say their $7.95 offer. Can you tell what arrangement you have with them.

Hi Vincent. Unfortunately I'm not able to offer the Hostgator deal anymore. They said that because I offer a website, that's considered to be an incentive and they don't allow that. So lunarpages is the only option right now. That is a recent development and I will be updating the post accordingly.

Hi Cheryl, when you sign up for Lunarpages, you can get your own email address for your domain. For example, cheryl@yourdomain.com. Hope that helps :)

You would set that up in your control panel. If you have no idea how to do it, they have videos in their support section to show you how.

I'm glad you like the site. In terms of showing up in google, that depends on how you deal with it in terms of SEO. You can submit it to google and so on, but I think the best way to drive traffic to the site is by starting a blog. That's what I've done and it works very well. I will be dealing with those kinds of topics in my Training program that I'm working on.

Hi Diana, unfortunately not. If you sign up for Lunarpages with Freebies4me, they get credited and I don't. Because of that, you won't be able to take advantage of both. If you are trying to get the Free Mentoring site, I need to get credit and then I can set it up for you. Hope this makes sense :)

Hi Terry, those are all excellent questions. This is how this works. I provide you with the site and you can advertise it in whatever way you see fit (whatever works best for you). There is no automatic internet advertising included at this point.

In terms of the history of hits vs. sign-ups, I wouldn't be able to tell you that. This is a new thing that I'm offering and of course, success varies from individual to individual. For example, I had a person get a site last week, did some marketing and got 45 trades set up in the span of 2 days.

However, I don't just give you a site and offer no support. I am actually building a website right now to provide resources and step by step instructions on different ways to market the site.

In terms of article/blog writer, I haven't ever used one because I like to write my articles myself. However, you can go to places like Elance.com, getafreelancer.com and a number of others to get article writers. The cost varies. I've heard of as low as $5 and as much as $40 per article. It all depends on what it entails.

Glad to see that you are interested. I'd be happy to get you going with one. I'll be sending out an announcement soon about the training site that I am working on. I'm very excited about it and I believe it will help people get a lot of referrals.

Hi Hanna, I'm sorry that happened. It seems like you signed up for 2 years instead of 1 year. When signing up, you have to specify that you ONLY want the 1 year hosting. You can probably get the second year refunded if you contact Lunarpages. If you want me to look into it with my contacts over there, send me a support ticket with your domain name and details at www.thefreebieguy.net/support. Otherwise, you can just contact them directly and ask to get it refunded.

I haven't dealt with that problem before so I'm not 100% sure what their procedure is, but I can definitely find out. Just let me know so we can get you your money back.

Hi Burt, that's a question that keeps coming up. The way the site is set up, some of the pages are actually posted on my site and then "mirrored" onto yours. The reason I've done it that way is so that when I've made changes to mine, it shows up on everyone's site. So I can add videos and changes easily.

The pages you have complete control of are the "About Me", "Make Money", and the "contact me" pages. I'm working on a "private site" for everyone who gets the mentoring site that will show you how to make changes and so that I can get all of your feedback on improvements to make to the site because it will be a group effort here on out. You will be getting an email about that soon.

The private site will also have resources that you can use to get referrals on and off the forums. It will be AWESOME!! I'm excited!

Hi Ms. Sheeka, Thanks for your kind words. Your question made me smile because that is the first question I would've asked :)

K, this is how it works - The pages that are customizable are the "Make Money", "About me" and "Contact me" pages. You can do whatever you want with those pages as long as you know how to edit HTML. You can also edit them via your control panel for your hosting account.

I'm in the process of building a private site for everyone who gets one of the sites. That site will have videos on how to change those aspects of your site whenever you want. It will also have resources for you to use to market your site so that you can make even more MONEY :)

Now, if you would like to have full control of ALL the pages on your site, that is possible. I can do that. However, if you retain full control of the site, then it won't get the automatic updates. I will be making changes like adding videos and content later on (and trust me - they will be AWESOME). Whenever I make those changes, they will automatically be changed on all the sites that I have "control" over.

So if you want to manage all the pages yourself, I can put them all on your hosting account. Just let me know if you want this option and I can easily do it for you.

While I'm extremely interested in obtaining one of these sites, I do have a few questions first. My first question is how customizable are these sites? That's the most important issue for me. Hi Willis. That is not possible (unfortunately). The arrangement I have with Lunarpages is that you HAVE TO sign up for at least 1 year. That's something that's determined by them, not me. I'm hoping to EVENTUALLY have a system where people can pay on a month by month basis. We'll see how that goes :)

Hi Gail. Yes, you are free to put the URL in your profile in FLR. That way, when people go to your profile, they can see the link to your site. They can even click on your name and then select "Visit your homepage" and they will be redirected to your site.

I am wondering if having a website with a partner as you did, is better than perhaps the two of us getting separte sites and featuring each other.....what do you think?

Good question Monroe. Well, it all depends on what exactly plan on doing. I tried it with a partner before and things got a little complicated. Then we parted ways and started our own thing. We still work together, but it made it easier to keep track of everything that way.

However, that was just my personal experience. I would tell you to analyze what you are trying to do with your partner and make a decision based on that.
