Paypal Increased their Fees – what it means to you

Yes, they did. But it’s kind of interesting HOW they did it (at least in my opinion). On June 3rd, Paypal added fees to all transactions that are marked as Goods or Services. This was previously free under the old system. The bad part is that they made this change without letting their users know. In the video, I give my opinion on what Paypal did.

i am new to internet marketing but i have had a paypal account for awhile and like you i think it would have been nice to know that there had been a change to the “fees”. it seems underhanded to not tell anyone about this. no i am not going to go running away just because of this but it will make me more watchful of them in the future.

I agree with you there. I’m also going to be on the lookout. I’m also considering checking out other services. I’m always weary when people make underhanded business decisions. Makes me question what all they would do. For now, Paypal is fine, but we’ll see where this goes.

    Hey Leslie

I guess we are stuck unless we want to start a payment processor . I know we could use 2checkout.com but most freebie sites dont so I guess they figure they have a monopoly

Yep, when you have a monopoly like that, you can do whatever you want. It’s all good though. Monopolies don’t usually last forever :)

i cant believe they would do this without telling us. i guess when you have the lions share of the business you can do what you want when you want. i personally dont approve of this but like it was said earlier until we find something better we are kind of stuck with paypal.

Yep, that’s the bad part in my opinion. I really don’t mind the increasing the fees. Well, I don’t like increasing fees, but it’s understandable that they would do so. Just tell people. That’s common courtesy.
